The following position is currently vacant at the Public Opinion Programme University of Hong Kong.


 Analyst Programmer
 
 

Duties: The appointee shall be involved in developing new web-based systems and enhancing existing applications; design, configure and enhance web-based opinion platforms hosted by our team; to perform database administration; and to provide technical support to the survey unit.


Requirements: Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or other related disciplines. They should have proficiency in PHP, MySQL and Javascript, basic knowledge in Linux, Windows and system support is a must. With more than 2 years working experience in software development, knowledge in AJAX, jQuery, Photoshop, Flash, Dreamweaver or MS Excel etc. will be an obvious advantage, self-motivated, strong sense of responsibility, able to work under pressure and flexible working hours.

 Web Developer
 
 

Duties: The appointee’s duties shall include developing web-based systems; updating and maintaining websites, and providing general technical support on both hardware and software.


Requirements: Applicant should possess High Diploma or Bachelor's Degree holder with IT related disciplines (fresh graduates will also be considered). They should have solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, experience with LAMP is a must and relevant work experience will be a definite advantage and be self-motivated, responsible, able to work under pressure and flexible working hours.

  Part-time Telephone Interviewers
 
 

Duty: To conduct telephone interviews.

 
 

Working hours: 6:30pm-10:30pm; 1 to 6 days per week.

 
 

Requirements: (a) education level of F.7 or above; (b) fluent Cantonese, English and Putonghua; (c) good communication skills with polite manners; (d) self-motivated, strong sense of responsibility and hard working; (e) ready to follow work instructions; (f) capable of Chinese word processing.
